The ABWA Mission:
To bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support, and national recognition.

About ABWA - the National Organization

Each year the Association recognizes 10 ABWA members as the Top Ten Business Women of ABWA, and one is chosen as the American Business Woman of ABWA. These women demonstrate how their involvement in the Association has contributed to significant career achievement. They are recognized at the Association's national convention.

Our History:
On February 6, 1990, a group of 24 women in the League City area came together and chartered a new ABWA chapter named League City Charter Chapter of ABWA.

The chapter was sponsored by the Santa Fe Area Charter Chapter from Santa Fe, Texas. The installation officer was Liz Cloud, the District II Vice President in 1990.

Many outstanding women have served as Chapter Officers throughout the years. Their numerous hours of dedicated service are greatly appreciated.

Each year since 1991, the League City Charter Chapter of ABWA has selected one member as our Chapter Woman of the Year. This is the highest award a chapter can bestow on a member. The award recognizes the outstanding contributions an individual makes to the chapter and her community.  The woman chosen is also our chapter's Top Ten nominee.
